The Community Services Department is responsible for ensuring provision of an acceptable standard of Social Services, Emergency Services, Environmental and Health Services, Community Safety and Road Traffic Management as well as Sports, Arts and Cultural Services to the communities.

Cleansing & Maintenance
- Refuse Collection - Basic removal and collection of waste within the municipality as a basic service
- Cemetery Services - Allocation and preparation of graves
- Environmental Services - Enforcement of compliance on Municipal Projects and environmental education to the Community at large
- Landfill Site - A waste sorting facility Licensed and authorized to take non-hazardous domestic waste.

Fleet Management
The Fleet is managing all the Municipal assets such as Heavy Motor Vehicles, Light Motor Vehicles, Plants and other equipment such as TLBs, Graders and Rollers.
