The Technical Services is responsible for all infrastructure development and maintenance of such infrastructure to ensure the wellbeing of the communities within the municipality’s area of jurisdiction.

Electricity
Electricity functions includes but not limited to the following:
- The Section is responsible for the planning, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of electricity infrastructure
- Maintenance from High Voltage Cables (11kV) to a low voltage cables (400-380V)
- Ensuring the provision of constant and reliable power supply to communities
- Processing of new electricity applications
- Providing support to Income section by meter reading and disconnections
- Streetlight maintenance
- High Mast maintenance
- Traffic Lights maintenance
Project Management Unit
Project Management Unit (PMU) functions includes but not limited to the following:
- Project Manage MIG Funding and other infrastructure related capital projects
- Co-ordinate project identification up to approval and listing on the municipal IDP
- Ensure the supporting infrastructure master plans pertaining the maintenance of municipal infrastructure assets are implemented accordingly
- Ensuring that project-related capacity building and development objectives are met
- Managing the monitoring database and preparing all necessary reports
- Quality management of all projects
- Administration of EPWP programme
- Administration of Grants
- Mobilizations of funds for Capital projects
- Preparations of Business Plans for Capital Projects
Roads and Stormwater Section
Roads and Storm-water functions includes but not limited to the following:
- Storm drains protection
- Street Repair and Maintenance – Pavement Marking
- Concrete Installation and Repair
- Patching, resurfacing, and surface sealing
- Bridge and Structure Maintenance Paint and Paint Removal
- Unpaved Roads and Trails
